View example high resolution VR images with Microsoft's HD View
Microsoft Research's Interactive Visual Media Group has recently developed a new interactive image viewer called HD View. This viewer is capable of streaming high resolution images to the browser in real time while dynamically adjusting and correcting the perspective required for panoramic VR images. Viewing of full spherical, cylindrical and partial panoramas is supported in HD View.
Installing HD View:
If you do not already have HD View installed, loading any of the sample images will prompt you for automatic installation of this ActiveX Control.
System Requirements:
- Microsoft Windows XP, Server 2003 or Vista operating System
- Microsoft Internet Explorer (Firefox support comming soon)
This BETA software is still under development by Microsoft Research. You can keep up to date on the program and view more examples by visiting the HD View Home Page.
